pasado ako!

I was at Donna's house yesterday. We were watching El Cuerpo when our friend Bambi texted me that I passed the Civil Service Professional Exam..

I was really surprised though I was really expecting it..

But despite this good news I am a bit sad coz my other friends who took the same exam didn't pass. ;'(

To all who congratulated me, THANK YOU!

Special thanks to Bibo.. =)

To the passers (professional and sub-prof), CONGRATULATIONS and to those who didn't make it, THERE IS ALWAYS A NEXT TIME..

Philip Nadela: First PDA Grand Little Dreamer

3 weeks ago, Laarni Losala who is from Sultan Kudarat, won as the 2nd PDA Grand Star Dreamer.. Hindi pa tapos sa pagcecelebrate ang buong Mindanao at Region XII, heto na naman... Another reason to celebrate..

Philip Cesar Nadela aka Philip Nolasco is the first PDA Grand Little Dreamer and he is proudly representing General Santos City..

Paano ba yan? From Mindanao na naman ang nanalo sa PDA.

Now, I can safely say that SOCCSKSARGEN is also a Home of Dreamers and Winners..

It's so overwhelming that people are now starting to recognize the talent that natives of SOCCSKSARGEN possess.

This calls for a BIGGER celebration!

Mabuhay ang mga taga SOCCSKSARGEN!

Go! Grow! SOCCSKSARGEN!

Ateneo Blue Eagles.. UAAP Season 71 Champ

The UAAP Season 71 has finally come to an end as the Ateneo Blue Eagles sweep off their bitter rival, the DLSU Green Archers in the Game 2 of the UAAP seniors men basketball finals and cop another title.

It was in 2002 when Ateneo last won a title which was also against the multititled DLSU.. 6 years.. quite long.. Coach Norman and the rest of the team assured that DLSU will never have the chance to retain its title and extend the tournament until sunday.

Chris Tiu, among all others, wanted this season to end perfectly. Having his last season this year, he assured that just before he leaves, Ateneo gets the title and so they did. They have their fourth title since joining the league.

But there's more reasons for Ateneo to celebrate. Earlier before the game yesterday was the awarding ceremonies and most of the awardees were from the champion team. Rabeh Al-Huseinni who plays center was the MVP and Ryan Buenafe who was pretty obvious a good player was the ROY for the season.

Indeed, Ateneo is a well-oiled machine who never stops till it reaches the top.

Congrats Ateneo. ONE BIG FIGHT!

See you all in Season 72!

Laarni Losala : Grand Star Dreamer

The long wait is over. Philippines now has its newest grand star dreamer – Laarni Losala.

Laarni (aka The Independent Woman) from Sultan Kudarat is the 2nd grand star dreamer of Pinoy Dream Academy. It really pays if you have the talent and you dream big! Of course, it is also important to have a lot of supporters. If you go to Tacurong City and Isulan, Sultan Kudarat you will see tarps showing people's support to her. Isn't it overwhelming if your kababayans especially your government officials have their support on you and help you in fulfilling your dreams?

Bugoy Drilon and Miguel Mendoza were the 2nd and 3rd placer while Liezel Garcia, Van Pojas and Cris Pastor belonged to the top 4 - 6.

Congratulations to the Top 6.

Congratulations to Laarni and to the people of Sultan Kudarat! Her victory is the victory of the whole Sultan Kudarat.

The PDA Little Dreamers is not finished yet and in behalf of the Mindanaoan people, i am asking you to please continue supporting Philip of Gen. Santos City.

Laarni and Philip serve as an inspiration to all young and talented people of Mindanao.

MABUHAY MINDANAO!

bound or unbound..

Life in its broadest sense is crucial… When faced with problems and atrocities, one usually asks, “Is this what destiny can offer me?” We sometimes do not want to recognize our shortcomings, afraid to take the risk of whether to make the move or not, and as a defense for the wrong choices we’ve made, we blame it on something else – fate.

According to a philosophy of Oriental View, “those who live of gentle submissiveness to the cosmic powers flowing in the universe allow these powers to control their destiny.” These persons make the most of their time achieving by consulting first and conforming to the dictates of the horoscope, fortune tellers, and many other ways of forecasting the future. With the kind of satisfaction and security they receive, they are not aware that they no longer provide themselves the autonomy set before them – the right to self will.

While it is true that God has a specific plan and purpose for our existence that does not mean that we’ll just sit down and wait whatever may happen. No one knows what He has prepared for us. We really have to work for it. The things we enjoy and nourish at present are the ones revealed while the best remains unknown. What lies ahead are yet to be unraveled. It is a good thing for those who view life as a constant struggle for the ultimate end.

We all share the same ideals; we keep on acquiring knowledge in pursuit of bright future. We should not cease to seek opportunities so that we will have a worthwhile existence. We should not resent failure because it brings new hope and success.

Our future depends on what we did and who we were when we were young. All we need to do is to plan ahead, set goals and seek for ourselves what is in store for us. Still, we are held responsible for our lives for we are the ones who shape our future, provided we anticipate things beyond our control. And soon we will realize that the key to a happy life is to embark on our sound decisions.
